The Hospital General de Catalunya was built in 1984. Throughout its history it has gone through several stages. In 2001 it began an ambitious process of modernization and permanent updating that made it one of the most technologically advanced healthcare centers in Europe, with a wide healthcare capacity, at the service of patients and with 300 beds.
The Hospital was the first in Europe to receive the Joint Commission certification, and since then all its professionals continue to work to maintain a high level of quality through the implementation of protocols periodically reviewed by the quality department to improve efficiency every day. In our commitment to quality, we adopt several complementary management models under the standards of Accreditation of Acute Hospital Care Centers in Catalonia, EFQM and ISO standards certification.
